| Miniature Pumpkin Candle Holders For a simple Halloween centerpiece, use the miniature pumpkins! Just cut a small hole in the top of the mini-pumpkin and scoop out with a spoon. Make sure the hole is only about the size of a quarter, so the candle won't tilt, then place other small gourds, squash, etc. around them. It is very harvest-festive! |
Preserving
Your Gourds and Small Pumpkins
Gourds (like pumpkins) may be dried and coated with shellac and may last for years. This is a somewhat risky process, and 10% to 20% rot from the inside. Best start with more gourds than you want to end up with; that way you will have enough survivors. |
